Purchased by RH bloodstock privately from France we were keen to secure this embryonic chaser after his placed effort on his hurdles debut behind a subsequent listed winner with the 2nd going on to win for Venetia Williams.

After a quiet start to his hurdling career he bolted in at Uttoxeter having been the subject of strong market support going from 14/1 into 3/1 favourite.

His chasing career started with a and when he didn’t see another rival at Worcester again strongly supported in the market he won as he liked.

Another success at Newcastle off a mark of 131 and a run in the red rum chase at the Aintree festival saw his novice year complete and we look forward to him competing up in trip this season at all the big tracks.

Those that followed Fugitif this season have seen our fine stamp of a chaser go from strength to strength with a fine second at cheltenham in November followed by a fine win on the bridle at Chepstow on Welsh National day.

This last week (28th January) Fugitif ran a stormer in the £100,000 handicap at Cheltenham Trials Day and finished a close second to Ill Rodoto with the pair pulling 15 lengths clear of the third.

Having started the season off 131 fugitif will now head to Cheltenham Festival off 149 where we still expect him to be competitive.
