By Milan out of a supreme leader mare and a debut point winner we were mad keen to buy him at Tattersalls Cheltenham but didn’t expect to be able to afford him.

Having struck the winning bid at 60k we were then thrilled when he bolted in on his debut over 3 miles beating some highly rated established performers.

Another win followed at Aintree before a fine win at Warwick in the grade 2 Leamington hurdle.

A few niggling injuries and some rotten luck have kept Mossy off the track but we are hopeful he can return this season after a good pre season and now training well.

He is due to run over fences in November for his new trainer Laura Morgan who has been delighted with him so far.

Mossy has now been retired he owes us nothing and was telling us that he no longer has the heart for racing.

He has been returned to Claire Hetheringtons livery yard where he has always been happy. He will ultmately be retrained after he has settled down and enjoyed some spring grass.
